25-26 Season RULE CHANGE – Tie down roping will be one loop ONLY. This takes effect starting in Decorah.

Fundraiser – Please remember that the online fundraiser is only open until August 17th.This is the only fundraising tool we have to help you. After the 17th it will be each families responsibility to cover the requirement of $350.00. If you need assistance with the app please reach out.

One last reminder that Lancaster entries close tonight, Tuesday August 13th at 11:59pm. Should you miss the regular entry deadline you will have to email – secretary@whsra.org to late enter. Late entries for Lancaster will close Sunday August 18th at 6pm and a late entry fee of $100 per contestant will apply.

The Decorah rodeo information and season kick off flyer are can be viewed HERE, by hovering over the Decorah Rodeo tile.

Please bring an auction item to Decorah for our kick off and pizza party at 5:30pm on Saturday August 3rd in the indoor arena. You will also want to bring chairs and beverages.

We will highlight our board of directors, student board, Junior High and High school national qualifiers. We will also kick off our fundraiser for the 24-25 season, so there will be instruction on that as well. Any members not attending the rodeo will be sent fundraiser information via email…so keep an eye out.

Entries are now open for Decorah; they will close on Tuesday July 23 at 11:59pm. Should you miss entries you can late enter until Sunday July 28th at 6pm for a $100 late fee. Email: secretary@whsra.org.

First off, we will be holding a kick-off pizza party and auction Saturday night after the rodeo.  We are guessing for this to start around 5:30 p.m.  We are hoping that everyone is able to bring one or two items to the auction.  Please bring a lawn chair and come and enjoy in the fun!

Decorah Shooting Events will begin at 1:00 p.m. Head to the Rodeos page to review the Kickoff Party & Auction Flyer, the Order of Events, and the Information Sheet.

NEW RULE:  High school girls breakaway ropers will only be allowed one loop, and it must be a bell collar catch for a qualified time.

Fundraiser

• JH contestants will be able to buy out or sell candy bars again this year.  More information to come.
• HS contestants will be selling 500 raffle tickets with similar items on the raffle ticket.  More information to come.

Each contestant will be required to sell 70 tickets that cost $5.00 each for $350 total.

Hoping that tickets are available to pick up at Manawa.

Tickets and money will be due no later than Arcadia.

*If you obtain a sponsorship and your $350 raffle requirement is to be deducted from the sponsorship amount, please let myself know right away. Also, please let your sponsor know especially if the deduction moves them to a different sponsorship level. I have attached the sponsorship information again. It is also available on our website HERE.

Reminder: Decorah Entries close TUESDAY, JULY 26.

Membership: All memberships have been processed. You either have to complete something, which you were personally contacted by me, or you would have received an email letting you know you are eligible. If you did not receive this email, please check your spam. This is the same email as the one you will receive rodeo entry receipts from.

Entry Receipts: Please take a picture of your entry receipt with the confirmation number and your events entered. You click view receipt for this. The confirmation number has the first two letters of your last name and a bunch of numbers. If you receive a confirmation number, then you are entered.
